This digital mini scale is tiny enough to keep pretty much anywhere you want. Carry it in your purse, stick it in your shirt pocket, keep it cozy in your desk drawer, the list goes on. The JSR300 takes up hardly any space at all, (only 4.9" x 3.2") and it has a hinged protective hard cover to keep the weighing platform and sensors safe when it's not in action.
If you're not up for a brain numbing count-a-thon, you can always put the JSR300 to work. The JSR is great at counting and will let you know just how many pieces you have in no time. Just weigh a sample amount, push a few buttons then load this pocket scale up with all your parts and pieces.
Well, you won't really need shades but, you won't have a problem reading your weights thanks to the backlit LCD display on the Jennings JSR300.
You know the JSR300 has a 300 gram capacity but, do you know what the capacity is in pennyweights? Not without doing some mighty calculations, (unless, of course, you're a super genius or have a 300 gram weight laying around). That's what makes the WeighMeter™ feature so great! No matter what unit you're weighing in, this feature will show you how close you are to the scale's capacity. You'll never accidentally overload your scale again and that, my friend, is a good thing.
The protective cover on the JSR 300 does a great job of keeping the scale's platform and weighing sensors safe when it's not in use, but that's not its only job. If you need a little more weighing space or need to weigh something that just might want to roll off the platform, use this scale's protective cover as a weighing dish. Pop the cover off, flip it over and now you have a weighing tray.
Never again will your scale run out of juice because "someone" forgot to turn it off. The batteries in your JSR will last longer because the auto-off function will shut that bad boy off after a few moments of inactivity. You don't even have to think about turning this digital scale off if you don't want to.
If you weigh your stuff with the same unit all the time and aren't too excited about pushing that little button to get to the unit you want every time you turn your scale on, you're in luck. The Jennings JSR300 will remember the unit you're weighing with and will turn on ready to weigh in the same unit next time.
Sometimes, having unwanted weight on your scale is just plain unavoidable. Don't worry your pretty little head. The JSR300 has a tare feature that will remove weight from your readings with, literally, a push of a button. Just put your weighing tray, bowl, scoop or whatever on the scale and press the "→0←" key. Now the scale is set back to zero and you can add the goodies you really want to weigh.
If your JSR300 needs a little tune-up, don't worry. You can calibrate this pocket scale all by yourself. It's so easy, all you need to get your JSR300 back in tip-top-weighing shape is a 100 gram calibration weight and, of course, the JSR user manual.
